NOISETEKŪ Elaste product family
The NOISETEKŪ Elaste product family provides adjustable epoxy-based vibration damping materials with an extremely high loss factor. These innovative visco-elastic materials are intended primarily for use in constrained-layer damping (CLD) systems to prevent the harmful effects of resonating vibration. The properties of each NOISETEKŪ Elaste system are designed so that the optimal properties are set to appear in the predetermined thermal and mechanical vibration conditions of the application.
The main target segment for the adaptable NOISETEKŪ Elaste product is heavy machinery and the construction industry. Stricter customer requirements and more stringent regulations for light-weight structures and increased powers in new products are fuelling the demand for new and improved noise and vibration solutions. NOISETEKŪ Elaste is the perfect solution to achieve these requirements.
Airborne sound absorption materials
NMC Conversion designs and produces sound absorption materials with or without facing for several purposes e.g. for engine compartments, upholstery and humid or hot environments. The material and its thickness will be designed and chosen according to the noise source Polyether- and polyester-based polyurethane foams, recycled bonded foams, glass and textile fibre, melamine foam and ceramic wool are just some basic examples .
Typical applications include: vehicles, construction equipment, engine compartments, fans, business machines, washing machines, air conditioners, household appliances, food industry machines, boats, snow mobiles, room acoustics and noise control enclosures.
Barrier and damping materials.
NMC´s wide range of different kinds of barrier and damping materials can be used to control structure-borne noise propagation in solid materials and to improve their airborne sound insulation properties. In thin structures, applying a barrier mat directly to the surface of the material reduces structure-borne noise (vibration). In thick structures, the airborne sound resulting from the vibration of the structure is reduced with a two-layer mat in which a heavy layer is adhered to a foam layer. In both cases, the sound energy is converted to heat. The thinnest products of our diversified selection of barrier mats are made of bitumen board and the thickest of either bitumen or polymer based materials.
Absorption pads and composites
NMC Conversion absorption pads and composites are suitable for all applications where both low and high frequency noise occurs. NMC designs the right composite for your needs using our material characteristic database and knowledge of suitable solutions.
Other noise control materials
Micro-perforated metal sheet resonators with excellent mechanical durability, which can be mounted decoupled from background and used with other absorbents, are well suited for hot conditions.
Sound damping sandwich steels (MPM metal-polymer-metal composites) can be used for structure borne sound damping solutions. This material is suitable especially for acoustic enclosures.
The sound insulation compounds can be applied on sheet metal, aluminium or plastic structures by brushing or spraying for simultaneous structure-borne noise damping and sound insulation.
